Assateague Island

My son Jacob and I took a trip to visit my dad in Millsboro a couple weeks ago and spent a day at Assateague while we were there. As much as I love photographing birds, horses have been part of my soul for as long as I can remember.

There’s something about the combination of power, grace, intelligence and beauty that has always drawn me to them. I love the exhilarating feeling of freedom as the wind rushes through my hair as we gallop across an open field and the ability to explore further than my own legs can take me. And, it has always seemed that horses hold a special ability to connect with those who ride them.

I had a great time capturing getting these wild horses and spending the day with my family playing at the beach. I am hoping to making back there again soon for more
